The Sound Of Kubrick: 'The Shining' and '2001: A Space Odyssey'

Few directors have managed to blend the best of  "avantgarde" music, with "art" cinema and yet not allowed the music to dominate the images but compliment them. And, at the same time,  made both artistic and box office success. Kubrick is one.

The Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France pays tribute to Stanley Kubrick’s films. With conductor Alan Gilbert and pianist Bertrand Chamayou, the orchestra performs works from two cult films: The Shining and 2001: A Space Odyssey.
